COPPA Compliance

Our commitment to protecting children's privacy

What is COPPA?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a U.S. federal law that protects the privacy of children under 13 years of age. COPPA requires websites and online services to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from children.

How Make Believe Complies

Parent-Controlled Service

Make Believe is designed exclusively for use by parents and guardians, not children. Only adults can create accounts, upload photos, and make purchases.

No Direct Child Interaction

Children do not interact with our app or website. The coloring books created are physical products that children use offline with traditional coloring materials.

No Collection of Children's Data

We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

Secure Data Practices

All family photos uploaded by parents are encrypted and stored securely. We never share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Parent Rights and Control

As a parent using Make Believe, you have complete control over:

  • What photos are uploaded to create coloring books
  • Who has access to your account and created content
  • How your data is used and stored
  • The ability to delete your account and all associated data at any time

Age Verification

All Make Believe users must confirm they are 18 years or older when creating an account. We employ technical measures to prevent account creation by minors.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for payment processing and shipping. These partners are COPPA compliant and maintain strict data protection standards.
