- Photos: Photos you upload to create coloring pages. These are processed by our AI and stored securely.
- Order Information: If you order printed books, we collect your shipping address and payment information (processed securely by our payment provider).

- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app (features used, pages visited).
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve our service.

- Photos are automatically deleted from our processing servers after coloring page generation is complete

- Payment Processors: To securely process payments for printed books
- Printing Partners: Your shipping address and coloring book files to fulfill print orders

We take children's privacy seriously. Make Believe is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their families. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Photos on processing servers are deleted after coloring page generation. Coloring pages and books are stored until you delete them or close your account. Order records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

9. International Data Transfers

11. Social Media Integrations
Make Believe operates an internal operator console at /console that MakeBelieve staff use to publish content from the official MakeBelieve accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads (via the Meta Graph, Instagram Graph, and Threads APIs) and Pinterest (via the Pinterest v5 API). These integrations do not collect or process end-user personal information.
What we fetch from these APIs:
- Account identifiers (Facebook Page ID, Instagram Business ID, Threads user ID, Pinterest user ID and boards) for the MakeBelieve-owned accounts only.
- Post IDs and permalinks for content we have published.
- Post insights (engagement counts) when insights features are enabled.
How we store it:
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM in Vercel KV before being written. Tokens are never exposed to client-side code and are only decrypted inside server-side route handlers that make outbound calls to the providers.
- Tokens are automatically refreshed by a scheduled job; they can be revoked at any time from the operator console.
